Fall Guys Cookie Cutter

I did not own any Fall Guys cookie cutters when I thought of the idea. So I decided to make my own.

I purchased a cookie-cutter kit on Amazon. By using pliers, scissors and some strings, I was able to make my own cookie cutters for this project.

Cookies

For this cookie, I adopted the recipes from Baking A Moment. This was such an amazing recipe and will definitely be my go-to recipe from now on.

Ingredient- Makes about 15 Fall Guys Cookies (about 2.5” tall/each) + Some Crown-Shaped Cookies

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks) cubed, cold
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour (you may need as much as 4 cups)
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instruction

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees, and line baking sheets with parchment.
  2. Cream the butter, sugar and vanilla, just until smooth and combined.
  3. Mix in the egg until incorporated.
  4. Add the flour, cornstarch, and salt, and mix until everything gathers itself into a ball and pull away clearly from the sides of the bowl.  
  5. Roll the dough out between 2 sheets of parchment paper, to a thickness of 1/4 inch.
  6. Cut into shapes with the custom cookie cutter. To make indentation for the face area, I used the handle of a muddler. For the crown cookies, I simply cut the dough with knife.

7. Bake for 9 to 12 minutes. Cool completely.

Decorating

To decorate, I used my favorite royal icing recipe.

The colors needed were:

  • White
  • Green
  • Red
  • Blue
  • Yellow
  • Black

First I drew white faces on all cookies, then placed body colors. Once the icing has dried, I drew eyes and heart patterns on the body.

Summary

I love how these Fall Guys cookies turned out! The new cookie dough recipe was a big hit at home and decorating them was easy enough for someone novice like me. Making my own cookie cutter was definitely worth it in the end. If you’ve made unique cookies before, I’d love to know in the comments!
